A Mesmerizing Sapa Vietnam Travel
Our journey of Sapa Vietnam Travel began in December when we travelled from Hanoi in a mini bus. Excited about experiencing the picturesque mountain views, we booked our stay at Fansipan View Hotel, primarily for its stunning valley-facing balcony. However, upon arrival, we were greeted by fog, rain, and chilly weather, which added a mystical charm to the surroundings.
Evening Thrill: Alphine Coaster & Moana Sapa
Despite the cold, we ventured out in the evening to ride the Alphine Coaster, an absolutely unforgettable experience. The thrilling ride through the misty landscape was exhilarating. Later, we visited Moana Sapa, a beautiful photo spot with a giant swing and artistic installations, but all we could see was fog! To warm up, we sipped on a hot coffee, which felt like a lifesaver in the cold.
Exploring Sapa’s Nightlife & Local Market
For dinner, we indulged in delicious Indian food at Bollywood Spice Indian Restaurant, a perfect treat after a chilly day. Afterward, we wandered through the Sapa night bazaar, exploring local handicrafts, souvenirs, and warm clothing.
O Quy Ho Pass: A Scenic Adventure
The next morning, we visited O Quy Ho Pass, a breathtaking winding route offering panoramic views of the mountains. Despite the fog, the scenery was surreal, making it a must-visit spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.
Glass Bridge: A Thrilling Walk on Transparent Glass
One of the most thrilling parts of the trip was visiting the Glass Bridge, an adventurous and breathtaking attraction that offered an incredible view despite the fog. Walking on the transparent glass bridge, with its dangerous view of the mountains below and clouds all around, was both exhilarating and nerve-wracking.
The Ultimate Highlight: Fansipan – The Roof of Indochina
Our journey to Fansipan, the highest peak in Vietnam, was nothing short of magical. We took the ropeway from the station and then a monorail ride, both offering breathtaking views of the mist-covered valleys. Upon reaching the top at 3,143 meters, we were welcomed by a 4-degree temperature and strong winds.
The Big Buddha statue standing tall in the clouds was a sight to behold. Adding to the surreal experience, Vietnamese soldiers performed a march, and the national flag was hoisted while the anthem played—a truly patriotic and emotional moment. We spent a long time capturing the heavenly views, feeling as though we were floating above the clouds. The experience was dreamlike and beyond words.
Ending the Trip with Italian Pizza Delight
After an incredible day, we wrapped up our Sapa Vietnam Travel with some delicious Italian pizza, a perfect way to end our journey on a high note.
